A tough Quebecer well-known to the fans is available for free for Kent Hughes and the Canadiens
In recent hours, the Ottawa Senators have announced that the Quebecer left winger, Bokondji Imama, will be placed on waivers this afternoon with the intent to be assigned to Belleville in the American League. The former Arizona Coyotes player was notably in uniform against the Canadiens last night, where he managed to irritate Martin St-Louis's men on multiple occasions.
"Placed on waivers with the intent to be assigned to the Belleville Senators in the AHL: Bokondji Imama." - Sens Communications
Over the past two seasons, the 27-year-old forward has played only nine games in the NHL, scoring just one goal. However, he has significantly stood out for his robust and very intense playing style in the AHL, never hesitating to drop the gloves to defend his teammates.
In 104 games with the Tucson Roadrunners, Bokondji Imama recorded 10 goals and 17 assists for a total of 27 points. However, he racked up more than 287 penalty minutes during this stint. He could be a very interesting option to protect our young prospects who will make the jump with the Laval Rocket this season.
