Alexis Lafrenière is linked to a new team and it could make sparks fly
Over the past few months, the name of Alexis Lafrenière has often been involved in various trade rumors. Although many Canadiens fans were hoping to see the Quebecer land in Montreal, Kent Hughes seemed to take another avenue by acquiring Alex Newhook.
However, new information has surfaced about Lafrenière's future in New York, who could apparently don the colors of a new team in 2023-2024. Indeed, according to Rob Ellis of the website NHL Trade Rumors, there are currently several talks that would send the former first overall pick to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Playing alongside a certain Connor Bedard would undoubtedly help him regain his offensive touch. Still according to Rob Ellis, general manager Kyle Davidson would be ready to part with young Lukas Reichel and a first-round pick to acquire him.
