Barely has the Habs' season ended and analysts are already projecting towards the next season. During last Friday's "JiC" episode on TVA Sports, Maxim Lapierre was already thinking about forward duos for next season, and he believes that the team has a Quebec-born winger who is capable of wreaking havoc over an extended period.

"I think that Rafaël Harvey-Pinard has a place on a first or second line."

"I would see him with Kirby Dach on the second unit, but Dach will also need a consistent scorer, as it is currently the case with Suzuki who already has Caufield. These two would obviously be paired on the first line. However, Cole and Nick would also be more effective having another winger beside them who can score goals and create offensively," said Maxim Lapierre.

According to Lapierre, the forward duos for next season should be Suzuki-Caufield and Dach-Harvey-Pinard. He also discussed the possibility of the Habs acquiring Pierre-Luc Dubois.

"Overall, the Habs need to add some power to their top two lines, and that could be achieved through the acquisition of Pierre-Luc Dubois, for example."

According to Lapierre's statements on 98.5 FM over the weekend, he revealed that the Habs could include Jordan Harris in a trade to acquire Pierre-Luc Dubois. He also mentioned that Dubois could be tempted to join the team, but that would depend on several factors.

"For me, it would be Harris who would be sacrificed simply because of the number of lefties we will have in the organization," added Maxim Lapierre.

You can find his reasoning and the one of Antoine Roussel here.

There is also an interesting proposal regarding the Winnipeg Jets.
