Catastrophic Last-Minute Announcement Concerning Hockey Canada
Some important news just surfaced regarding Hockey Canada, as we have just learned that one of their biggest sponsors has dropped the federation.
According to information reported by journalist Susan Krashinsky Robertson of the Globe and Mail, Nike has terminated its agreement with Hockey Canada.
The company will continue to provide products to their athletes due to existing agreements, but there will no longer be a direct partnership with the Canadian hockey federation.
"We will continue to supply on-ice products to Hockey Canada athletes as part of our partnership with the International Ice Hockey Federation, but our individual partnership with the federation has come to an end."
Wow! This is a huge loss for Hockey Canada, losing one of its most loyal sponsors of many years. The scandal associated with the federation has cost them another important partnership.
