Cole Caufield made a very interesting statement during his press conference
The saga surrounding Cole Caufield's contract situation is now behind us, with him signing an 8-year contract extension earlier today worth an annual value of $7.85 million.
The Canadiens' forward made a very significant update regarding his health status during his press conference this afternoon. Indeed, he confirmed that he had received the green light from the doctors and that he had started training again in order to be in the best shape for the next season.
Cole Caufield stated that he got a full clearance (from the doctors) in relation to his shoulder 10 days ago, and that he started shooting pucks again.
This is a little less than four months after being operated on February 1 - Arpon Basu
Remember that Cole Caufield had to miss the last 36 regular season games due to a shoulder injury. So, it's excellent news to learn that the 22-year-old is doing well and that he can finally start practicing his passion again.
Cole Caufield also mentioned that his teammate, Nick Suzuki, had called him yesterday to check in on him. The two friends seem more motivated than ever and it's certainly a very good sign for the organization. We're really looking forward to seeing them back on the ice together!
We called each other yesterday. We both want to be here. We both want the team to be successful. We want to do it together. We just want to be Montreal Canadiens. We want to win. Our competitive level is very high, we want what's best for each other. - Cole Caufield
