Excellent news for the Montreal Canadiens: highly touted prospect and first-round pick David Reinbacher is returning to the game
A few weeks ago, the Canadiens received consecutive pieces of bad news when they learned that Kirby Dach, David Savard, Kaiden Guhle, and David Reinbacher were all injured. Even if the Austrian doesn't play in the NHL, it was still bad news for the CH, as the development of the young man was significantly slowed down.
In the last minutes, we have learned that he will officially be back in action today after a seven-game absence.
"David Reinbacher back in action tonight after seven games of absence. Met in Kloten last week, he talks about his injury and the months ahead."
- Guillaume Lefrançois
Of course, his team is not doing well in the standings, and the chances of making it to the playoffs are diminishing. His return to North America could come with about twenty games left in the Canadiens' season.
We don't know the team's plans, but if that's their desire, having him practice with the CH and maybe giving him some games could be beneficial.
