Explosive fight between Nicolas Deslauriers and Mathieu Olivier: A scene reminiscent of the good old days
During the matchup between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday, there was an intense fight between Nicolas Deslauriers and Mathieu Joseph.
A fight just like in the good old days, as both players landed punches back and forth. It certainly added excitement to the crowd.
What's even more notable is the respect they showed each other at the end of the fight. The two players exchanged a head hug. They didn't wait for one of them to get hurt, which speaks highly of their sportsmanship.
It precisely demonstrates what hockey is all about. Players can have animosity on the ice, but at the end of the day, there is a great deal of respect between opponents.
