Huge Turn of Events Concerning Forward Denis Gurianov
Although the Canadiens did not make a qualifying offer to Denis Gurianov, General Manager Kent Hughes mentioned that he would be interested in bringing the Russian forward back with the Montreal team next season.
However, there seems to have been no discussion between the Habs and his agents Mark Gandler and Todd Diamond since the opening of the free agent market.
In addition, according to information reported by VK.com, Denis Gurianov is currently in talks with CSKA Saint Petersburg to sign a contract in the KHL.
"CSKA is in talks with Denis Guryanov for the signing of a contract."
Yikes! In light of this information, the chances of seeing the former 12th overall pick back in Montreal seem increasingly unlikely.
Denis Gurianov had highs and lows upon his arrival with the Canadiens. If on some nights, the 26-year-old forward seemed to be able to play on the top-6 of the team, he sometimes became invisible for several games. The Russian eventually collected five goals and three assists (eight points) in 23 games with the CH.
Would you be disappointed to learn that the 6'3" and 203-pound forward is not returning with the Montreal team next year?
