Indeed, he was spotted once again in the company of the Tricolore players this morning at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard, where he appeared to be assisting the CH coaches in directing the practice.
With only a few days left until training camp, Paul Byron would clearly not be in the Blue-White-Red's entourage if the higher-ups were not planning to offer him a role with the team this season. Apparently, the forward has given up on his professional hockey career and aims to stay with the Canadiens in a very different role for the 2023-2024 season.
Moreover, Byron seems to be taking his new position very seriously. During a press conference, the Tricolore's hopeful, Logan Mailloux, confessed that he had the chance to be hosted by the former CH forward over the past month. The young defender was very grateful for this wonderful gesture, indicating that he had learned a great deal from number 41 over the past few weeks.
Wow! Obviously, Paul Byron was not obliged to make such a gesture, but it's clear that he still holds the Canadiens close to his heart and wishes to help the young players in the organization continue their development. We strongly hope that he will play a leading role with the CH this season. There is no doubt that his experience in the NHL could be beneficial for the club's prospects.
