Injury to star forward Cole Caufield: it's truly concerning
Cole Caufield is taking some time to get going this season, scoring at a much slower pace than we're used to seeing from him. According to Martin St-Louis, there's no need to worry, and he'll find his touch again.
At least, his mere presence on the first line creates space for Nick Suzuki and Juraj Slafkovsky because opposing teams have to respect his shot. However, the small forward might have to miss some games.
In Friday night's match against the Chicago Blackhawks, Caufield sustained a lower-body injury and left the game for several minutes. He returned in the 3rd period, but it seemed challenging.
Even though he's not at his best right now, if he were to be sidelined due to injury, it would severely impact the team's chances of making it to the playoffs.
At this moment, all hopes are still alive!
