According to information disclosed by the excellent Pierre Lebrun, everything seems to indicate that the 2023-2024 trade deadline will be March 8th 2024.
It's not official yet, but it seems that the NHL trade deadline is set for Friday, March 8. - Pierre Lebrun
This will be a very important day for the fans of the Montreal Canadiens as well as for the general manager, Kent Hughes, as some veterans such as Sean Monahan, Josh Anderson, and David Savard might be on their way out.
Knowing that the organization wishes to compete as early as next season, the organization will have crucial decisions to make regarding the future of several players, and we might possibly witness a few transactions with the Tricolore.
Last year, Kent Hughes had been rather quiet, adding Denis Gurianov in exchange for forward Evgeni Dadonov. He had also acquired Quebecois defenseman, Frédéric Allard, in return for Nate Schnarr. However, all signs point to the fact that we are entitled to expect a much busier day at CH this season.
