The Montreal Canadiens' overall first pick in 2022, Juraj Slafkovsky, has officially just made a big step in his personal life.
Indeed, in addition to having taken his first strides in the NHL this year, the 19-year-old Slovak has just fulfilled a big promise he made to his parents.
This is an unusual story, but he has just received his high school diploma, after successfully completing the necessary exams for its attainment.
Imagine this for a moment: the young man has lived through chartered flights all year, he has made a lot of money playing a professional season, he has become a star of the Canadiens, he has played in the best league in the world, and a few months later, he was mature enough to keep his word and humbly return to the school benches like a normal boy.
This is frankly impressive and is a huge testament to his character and humility!
