Towards the end of the end-of-season press conference by Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton of the Montreal Canadiens, we witnessed a rather amusing moment.
As a journalist asked another direct question about the organization's lack of transparency regarding injured players, Hughes immediately responded by throwing the question back at the journalist. Although Hughes initially had trouble understanding the issue, he eventually answered the journalist's lengthy question, which you can find below.
"So (according to you), fans pay a lot of money to come see our games, so does that mean that when they buy their ticket, they should know what injury is preventing Sean Monahan from playing?" - Kent Hughes During the exchange in question, Hughes also added that if he had a message or information to convey to other NHL teams, he had a phone for that purpose. In doing so, he clearly expressed his disagreement with the journalist's question about the organization's lack of transparency regarding player injuries.
