Last-minute announcement from the Montreal Canadiens, and personnel movement confirmed
As we mentioned earlier today, defenseman Jordan Harris was practicing with Jayden Struble on Wednesday in Raleigh. It was a good indicator that he would be back in the lineup for Thursday night's game.
According to Eric Engels of Sportsnet, the player who was supposed to be scratched was Gustav Lindstrom. However, that is not the case, as the Canadiens have just announced two personnel moves.
Indeed, Jordan Harris has been removed from the injured list, and Emil Heineman has been assigned to the Laval Rocket to make room for him. So, it's official: Harris will make his return to the game on Thursday night, and Michael Pezzetta will also be in the lineup.
It's not yet confirmed for Pezzetta, but if we follow the logic, he should be in uniform. The only other option available to Martin St-Louis is to play with seven defensemen and 11 forwards, but he has never used this formula. So, it would be surprising.
