MAJOR: Ryan Reaves just sent a strong message to Arber Xhekaj related to their fight
As you probably already know, a heavyweight fight took place during the Montreal Canadiens' first game of the season, between Arber Xhekaj and the colossal Ryan Reaves.
The young defenseman even surprised more than one by overturning his opponent in a test of strength rather than a boxing match. Nonetheless, the scene was quite violent and Xhekaj amazed the crowd.
While Wifi mentioned being proud of his performance, which tested his shoulder for the first time since his significant injury, we hadn't yet had Reaves' reaction until today.
He just broke the silence and it was journalist Luke Fox from Sportsnet who reported the tough man's words.
"Yes, he wants a rematch with Wi-Fi."
"We play them two more times."
Leafs' number 75 also reportedly added this, related to the fact that Xhekaj initiated the fight by jumping on him.
"I don't like being jumped. I don't know if I've ever really jumped on anyone. You want to fight? Ask me."
It looks like it's a must-see appointment for the next duel between the two teams. However, we will have to wait until next March 9 before the two teams cross swords again this season.
Until then, although players often have long memories, a lot of water will have passed under the bridge.
