Thanks to a few consecutive drafts where the organization had several picks to make, there is a very interesting succession being built at the Tricolore.
Next season, we'll even have a chance to get a serious taste of the talent that belongs to the CH, as several important prospects will move to the professionals, possibly joining the big club, but certainly the Laval Rocket in the AHL.
Moreover, TSN's prospect expert, Craig Button, made a huge statement about one of the young players who should join the Rocket next year, Joshua Roy.
According to Button, the 19-year-old Quebec forward is none other than the most promising prospect of the Montreal organization. Wow!
He would be ahead of Lane Hutson and David Reinbacher in the club's pipeline, which says a lot about the raw potential that Roy could become in a few years.
The advantage for him is that he currently does not have the pressure to become a possible superstar for the CH. He can progress at his own pace in the minors, to make the jump with Martin St. Louis' squad when the time is right in his development.
Considering he was a fifth-round pick in 2021, if he becomes the player that Button believes he can become, the Canadiens will have made a steal in that draft.
