A major turn of events has just occurred for Jonathan Drouin within the Colorado Avalanche.
We learned in the last few hours, due to the absence of Mikko Rantanen, that changes have taken place in the team's lineup and the Quebec forward is at the heart of the modifications.
The former Montreal Canadien has officially moved to the first power play unit. Wow!
PP1
Johansen - Drouin - Makar - Lehkonen - MacKinnon
PP2
Toews - Nichushkin - Tatar - Byram - Colton
In addition to currently playing on the top line of the team with his good friend Nathan MacKinnon, Drouin now has a prime spot on one of the league's best power plays.
At first glance, if number 27 of the Avs plays the entire season in roles that can greatly help him offensively, he could very well have the best season of his career.
At only $825,000, he could become a high-quality bargain for his new organization.
