Daniel Brière just took everyone by surprise by trading defenseman Ivan Provorov to the Columbus Blue Jackets in a monstrous three-team transaction.
However, the new general manager of the Flyers is also reportedly working on a trade to deal young goaltender Carter Hart.
Wow! It's certainly a wild day for Flyers fans!
After Ivan Provorov, it would now be Carter Hart's turn to leave the organization. The goaltender's name has indeed been linked to the Montreal Canadiens recently, and it will be very interesting to see if Kent Hughes will manage to complete a transaction with his counterpart.
The highly reputed David Pagnotta of Daily Faceoff confirmed the news, mentioning that a trade should be forthcoming very soon. Things are shaking up in Philadelphia today!
"The Flyers are also working on a trade involving goaltender Carter Hart. It's not at the finish line, like the Provorov deal, but Philly is there, as DiMarco also reported." - David Pagnotta
Stay tuned, an announcement should be imminent.
