Yesterday, we mentioned a dangerous scene that occurred in the sixth game of the series between the Avalanche and the Kraken. In it, we can see forward Andrew Cogliano receiving a violent check from behind.
It took him a long time to get back up, and it didn't bode well for what was to come. However, details about his injury have surfaced, and it's much worse than we thought.
"Colorado's Andrew Cogliano fractured his neck during the hit from behind last night in game 6 against Seattle. He is out indefinitely." -Elliotte Friedman, Sportsnet.
Ouch! It's chilling to learn that Cogliano suffered a neck fracture.
