Martin St-Louis announces a pleasant surprise, and the fans are delighted
The Canadiens' goaltending rotation has been the main topic for over a month. It's time for the team to identify its number one, and that's exactly what is happening.
Indeed, Samuel Montembeault will be in the net for the Canadiens in Saturday night's game. For the second time in a row, he will be the starting goalie for two consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Jake Allen and Cayden Primeau are patiently waiting, but it's still very good news for the Canadiens and for Monty. It's a step forward to designate a number one goalie.
Samuel has delivered inspired performances in each of his appearances, in addition to working very hard during practices, even on game days and optional practices.
It's well-deserved. Congratulations, Samuel!
