Martin St-Louis confirms the rumor and Canadiens fans are in shock, but there is a good reason
The Canadiens will face the Flyers on Wednesday night in Philadelphia. With his splendid performance last Saturday, it was expected that Samuel Montembeault would be back in goal, but Martin St-Louis decided otherwise.
Indeed, it's Cayden Primeau who will defend the Canadiens' net. Samuel deserved the start, but there's a good reason why Primeau is getting into the mix.
His father, Keith Primeau, played for the Flyers when he was a child, and it's his childhood team, as reported by Priyanta Emrith.
"Cayden Primeau says the Flyers were the team he grew up loving obviously because his dad, Keith, was playing on that team.
Cayden says it's always special playing the NHL but it will be extra special for him to face the Flyers in Philadelphia tomorrow.
Cayden Primeau hasn't played since December 28, so that's an additional reason to call on his services. The organization shows class, and playing Cayden in Philadelphia proves it once again.
Samuel will have the chance to return to the net the next day, as the Canadiens host the Sharks in Montreal on Thursday night.
