Martin St-Louis has provided a very important update on the health status of Alex Newhook
Earlier this morning, just a few minutes before the Canadiens' morning practice, we learned that Joel Armia along with Kent Hughes' new acquisitions, namely Alex Newhook and Gustav Lindstrom, would be absent due to upper body injuries.
Aside from the fact that all three players would be evaluated daily, the organization really hadn't given any additional details regarding the severity of their injuries.
Fortunately, during his press conference, Martin St-Louis agreed to give an update on the health status of his three players. Indeed, according to his remarks, these would only be minor injuries, which should not prevent them from playing the first game of the regular season.

Wow! What great news!
It's very encouraging to hear such a statement since many fans were worried that Newhook might possibly be injured long-term. Number 15 will therefore be in Martin St-Louis's lineup for the October 11th game against the Leafs.
We are greatly looking forward to seeing how he can contribute to the Montreal attack, as he is very likely to play a key role within the top two lines.
