Montreal Canadiens: a lot of love for Nick Suzuki
After just four games into the season, it might be too early to call it a slump, but it's important that the trend doesn't continue. Three regular top-six players have yet to find the back of the net: Nick Suzuki, Josh Anderson, and Juraj Slafkovsky.
In Suzuki's case, he is compensating with his playmaking and defensive work, but for the other two, they need to start scoring, and it should happen soon. I'll reiterate, there's no need to panic after just four games.
A poll is currently running on social media. Priyanta Emrith, the journalist covering the Canadiens' activities, asked her followers who among Suzuki, Anderson, and Slafkovsky would score first.
Despite his and Martin St-Louis's own admission that he's not having a good start to the season, fans have spoken, and they still have faith in Suzuki. In fact, 61% of the respondents chose Suzuki as their pick.
I'm not worried about the captain, but as mentioned earlier, he, Anderson, and Slafkovsky will need to score fairly soon to relieve the pressure on their shoulders.
