Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki have formed a very close friendship since both are in Montreal. There is no doubt that the two teammates have extraordinary chemistry on the ice, but they are also very close in everyday life.
This camaraderie can only be beneficial for the Canadiens who wish to build their offense around these two promising young players. We are greatly looking forward to seeing them in action over a full season, as they form an absolutely dazzling duo.
The captain of the Canadiens was notably on the air on TSN690 this morning, along with Conor McKenna and Shaun Starr, and he addressed Cole Caufield's contract situation. Nick Suzuki reassured fans by mentioning that he talks to #22 practically every day and there is no need to worry about his next contract.
"I'm not worried about any of this and I don't think people should worry. It's part of the business and we still have plenty of time (for a deal to be signed) before the start of the season."
There were numerous rumors in recent days about the possibility of a team making a hostile offer to Cole Caufield. However, it's very reassuring to see that Nick Suzuki, his best friend on the Canadiens, is not worried at all and expects to see the forward in the Montreal uniform next season.
In your opinion, how many years will Cole Caufield's contract extension last?
