After leading the series against Tampa Bay 3-1, the nightmare of Toronto fans is repeating itself. Their team has not been able to win the fifth game, and now the pressure is on them.

There are certainly shortcomings on the ice and/or in the locker room for it to degenerate like this year after year. Besides the very ordinary performances of the goaltenders, Norman Flynn points the finger at the group of leaders and believes that one of the three (Matthews, Marner, Tavares) must leave the ship.

Flynn also notes that the Leafs have brought in Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau, Jason Spezza, and now Ryan O'Reilly, all leaders, and it still isn't working.

Admittedly, there is clearly a problem with leadership in this locker room. No matter the coach, it simply does not work in the playoffs for this team.

Norman Flynn is right in his remarks, and he even strongly advised them to win the sixth game.

"You have to admit that there is clearly a problem with leadership in this locker room. And no matter who the coach is, it just doesn't work in the playoffs for this team. I think one of these three guys has to go, you have to change something. They brought in leaders like Thornton, Marleau, Spezza, and now O'Reilly, and it's still not working. So something has to change. I hope they win the sixth game. That's all I have to say about it." Flynn commented.

It remains to be seen if the Maple Leafs will be able to turn things around and win the series, but it's clear that changes will need to be made if they want to have success in the playoffs.
