Logan Mailloux is certainly a player who greatly attracts attention in Montreal, as the 6'3", 208-pound defenseman had an incredible season with the London Knights in the OHL.
Indeed, Mailloux recorded 25 goals and 28 assists (53 points) in 59 games, who also added an impressive total of 24 points in 21 games during the playoffs.
There is no doubt that the 2021 first-round pick has remarkable offensive skills. Moreover, many observers mention that the defenseman has nothing more to learn in the junior and it would be greatly beneficial for him to join the Rocket or the Canadiens in 2023-2024.
Although he is eligible to play with the London Knights, Logan Mailloux seemed to confirm that he would not be returning with the Ontario team next year, who will presumably make the jump to the pros.
The Canadiens have not confirmed this information, but it is becoming increasingly likely that Logan Mailloux will play in the professional ranks next season. One thing is for sure, we are greatly looking forward to seeing him in the Canadiens uniform!
