The Montreal Canadiens organization has just released an official statement regarding some of its prospects.
As the finals approach in the three Canadian junior leagues, the Canadiens wanted to highlight the fact that three of its young players will be battling for a spot in the Memorial Cup in a few days.
Two top prospects in the organization, Owen Beck (33rd overall pick in 2022) and Logan Mailloux (31st overall pick in 2021), will be competing for the honors in the OHL, while Jared Davidson (130th overall pick in 2022) will be playing his final miles in the WHL.
The Canadiens could have potentially had two more prospects from the QMJHL with Joshua Roy and Riley Kidney, but their respective teams were eliminated in the semifinals.
It will be interesting to follow the junior activities over the next few days.
