The lottery video surfaces with Gary Bettman's reaction following Chicago's victory
In the early morning, the NHL released the full video of the 2023 lottery.
We can see the process that led to the victory of the Chicago Blackhawks, as well as the reaction of the league commissioner, Gary Bettman, when announcing the winner.
Let's just say that Bettman's reaction is less likely to go viral than last year, when the Canadiens won the 2022 lottery.
As for the Canadiens, the organization now knows its fate, as they will choose at the 5th overall pick in the draft. Unless the club dares to go outside the consensus top 5, consisting of Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Smith, and Michkov, Kent Hughes and his team will still have the chance to select a top talent.
