Although the head coach of the Remparts hasn't closed the door on a return with the Quebec team, Simon Gagné has been brought in to take over the reins of the team next year.
However, there is no doubt that the incredible performances of the Remparts have caught the eye of several NHL general managers this season. In fact, Patrick Roy's men were dominant, finishing the year with an impressive record of 52-13-3. The Remparts have yet to suffer a defeat in the playoffs and are about to face the Halifax Mooseheads in the final.
Analyst Kevin Weekes made a bombshell post last Sunday, suggesting that Patrick Roy could be a candidate to consider for the head coaching position of the New York Rangers.
We recently learned that Gerard Gallant was fired by the New York organization and Patrick Roy could certainly be a very interesting option for the Rangers.
Do you think he would be the ideal candidate for this position?
One thing is for sure, the idea of joining such a talented team as the Rangers could be very attractive.
This will be a case to follow in the coming weeks!
