On this matter, Marco Normandin from the site HabsolumentFan reported some frankly interesting information shared by Ken Wiebe, a well-informed journalist who closely follows the Winnipeg Jets. According to him, the Los Angeles Kings could possibly be ready to include a very promising prospect like Quinton Byfield or Gabe Vilardi, along with an excellent defenseman in Sean Durzi, to acquire Pierre-Luc Dubois.
Wow! That's a huge offer!
One thing is certain, the reports that the Kings were very aggressive in this matter are true. Robert Blake is ready to pay a high price to acquire Pierre-Luc Dubois.
Kent Hughes will simply be unable to compete with such an offer if it materializes. At a minimum, it would have to include Kirby Dach and Jordan Harris, but the Canadiens' general manager has confirmed that he does not want to part with his young 22-year-old center.
Now, it remains to be seen if Pierre-Luc Dubois will want to sign a long-term deal with the Kings, but Los Angeles was on the list of 5 or 6 teams he had given to his general manager. The chances of Dubois landing in Montreal are becoming increasingly slim.
