Therefore, it can be deduced that the team's general manager, Kevin Cheveldayoff, does not want future assets such as draft picks or prospects in exchange for Dubois.
This eliminates potential offers that would include a first-round pick, a prospect like Jayden Struble or Riley Kidney, or even a rookie defenseman like Jordan Harris.
The Jets want something substantial for Dubois, as evidenced by recent reports suggesting that Nick Suzuki or Kirby Dach were the targeted players for a possible trade.
However, it should be mentioned that it takes two teams to tango, and if Winnipeg fails to find a trade partner and has to enter the next season with the potential loss of Dubois at the end of the year, it is possible that the demands may decrease without having the upper hand in this matter.
