Sad news for Quebecer forward Anthony Richard
In recent hours, the Boston Bruins have announced that Quebecer forward, Anthony Richard, has been cut from training camp. He will therefore have to go through the NHL waiver process before being assigned to the Providence Bruins in the American League.
It's sad news for the former Hab, who had decided to leave the organization in order to get a better opportunity to establish himself full-time in the NHL. We strongly hope that he will achieve as much success as last season in order to become an interesting option should he be recalled.
It was particularly thought that the 26-year-old forward would manage to carve out a spot in Jim Montgomery's lineup, having played a few preseason games on the first line alongside David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha.
Scoring five points in thirteen games with the Habs last year, he also dominated in the AHL with an impressive harvest of 30 goals and 37 assists (67 points) in 60 games.
We wish him the best of luck with his new team!
