Some news from Kaiden Guhle and the Canadiens
The Montreal Canadiens are facing the Sabres in Buffalo tonight. Martin St-Louis and his team will immediately return to Montreal after the game because they'll be hosting the New Jersey Devils at the Bell Centre tomorrow.
Three players did not make the trip: Cayden Primeau, Christian Dvorak, and Kaiden Guhle.
Dvorak is expected to return in early November, while Primeau is training with goaltending coach Éric Raymond in Montreal.
As for Guhle, there is no information about his return date. It was even thought he might be in the lineup tonight, but it seems that's not the case.
The fact that he didn't travel with his teammates is concerning. With four games in six nights, the Canadiens won't have practice this week, but if the defenseman were close to a return, he would have accompanied his teammates, even for video sessions and team meetings.
It would be quite surprising if he returned tomorrow. Let's see if the Canadiens decide to let the week pass for his case.
