Yesterday afternoon, Renaud Lavoie shared some great news with the Tricolore fans. Indeed, he mentioned that the 20-year-old defenseman, Logan Mailloux, has officially received authorization from Gary Bettman to play in the NHL this season.

While many experts believe it would be beneficial for the young prospect of the organization to play a season with the Laval Rocket before joining the main team, some suggest he is already ready to play in the NHL and could earn a spot in Martin St-Louis' lineup this season.

During his appearance on BPM Sports radio, former New York Rangers goaltender, Martin Biron, firmly stated that he believes Logan Mailloux will be called up by the Canadiens this season, noting he wouldn't be surprised to see the Belle River native defenseman in Montreal by December.

He's a very talented guy with good size (6'3" and 208 lbs) who can bring some offense. I'm convinced that if he performs well in the American League during the first three or four months, the Canadiens might give him a chance by December or early January. - Martin Biron

Wow! It's great to hear such a statement, and we are eagerly looking forward to Logan Mailloux making his NHL debut.

Mailloux, picked 31st in the 2021 draft, had an exceptional season with the London Knights in the OHL this year. Indeed, the Tricolore's prospect amassed a total of 25 goals and 28 assists (53 points) in 59 regular season games, adding another 24 points in 21 playoff games.

In your opinion, will the young defenseman play more than 20 games with the Tricolore in 2023-2024?
