Relevant information has surfaced within the Montreal Canadiens organization in the last few hours, indicating that goaltender Kevin Poulin has suddenly announced his retirement.
At 33 years old, the Quebec goaltender officially retires from professional hockey after two seasons in the Canadiens' affiliates, where he played around sixty games with the Laval Rocket.
It must be said that this is indeed a real surprise, as many believed he would be the potential partner of Jakub Dobes in Laval, assuming Cayden Primeau made the main team lineup or if he was to be claimed off waivers at the beginning of the season.
It will be interesting to follow this case in the coming weeks to see who will back up Dobes with the Rocket this season.
