Surprising revelation: David Reinbacher has reportedly found a new job and it's causing quite a stir
The excellent Byron Bader has revealed a very relevant piece of information regarding the 5th overall pick, David Reinbacher, and it speaks volumes about the young man's character. While it may have flown somewhat under the radar, Bader mentioned that the Canadiens' defenseman has found employment for the summer and will continue to work as a scout.
"I kind of love that David Reinbacher (drafted 5th overall by the Habs in 2023) has a side job as a scout, to which he plans to return to over the summer.
Not sure if he realizes yet that 95% of top 5 picks play 200+ games in the NHL.
Most top 5 picks have NHL careers that last more than 10 years and career earnings exceeding $40M.
But I love it anyways. Good to have options." - Byron Bader
Wow! It demonstrates how much the young man loves hockey and doesn't take anything for granted in life. Let's hope he maintains the same attitude when trying to earn a spot in the Canadiens' lineup.
Moreover, according to his coach at Kloten HC in Switzerland, David Reinbacher constantly seeks improvement and is always eager to learn in order to elevate his game. This is undoubtedly excellent news for the Canadiens, and it's very exciting to see a young player with such character arriving in Montreal.
Furthermore, it proves how strong Reinbacher's hockey mind is if, at just 18 years old, he can fulfill the role of a scout for a team. We can't wait to see him on the ice at the Bell Centre in September!
Until then, we wish him a great summer in his new role!
