TRADE ALERT: Tyler Toffoli has just been traded by the Flames
Another transaction has just occurred in the NHL, as the Calgary Flames have traded Tyler Toffoli to the New Jersey Devils.
In return, the Flames get their hands on Yegor Sharangovich, as well as a third-round pick in 2023.
At 31 years of age, Tyler Toffoli has shown his caliber as an exceptional player, racking up an impressive 73 points, including 34 goals, over the course of 82 games just in the previous season. His skillset on the ice is rewarded with a substantial annual salary of $4.25 million, a contract that extends up until 2024.
On the other hand, Yegor Sharangovich, who is only 25 years old, has already made a significant impact in his NHL career. In his 205 games thus far, he has chalked up 106 points, scoring 53 times. He was also consistent last season, contributing 30 points to his team's tally.
