Pierre-Luc Dubois just signed a huge contract with the Los Angeles Kings
It is now confirmed, Pierre-Luc Dubois has signed an astronomical deal with the Winnipeg Jets, jointly negotiated with the Los Angeles Kings to complete the transaction that will send him to Los Angeles.
The 25-year-old forward will pocket $8.5 million per season for a maximum duration of eight years.
It must be said, this is an enormous contract for a player who has never reached one point per game in his career, having just completed his best season this year with 63 points.
Pending trade call the Jets and Kings complete a marathon trade. Pierre-Luc Dubois to LA. Iafallo, Vilardi, Kupari and a 2nd in 2024 (orig Mtl's pick) to Winnipeg for PLD. As @reporterchris reported, extension for PLD in LA is 8 years, $8.5 aav.
The Kings also involved the Habs pick they own in the trade.
