The Montreal organization has just clarified important information concerning Jeff Petry
Over the past week, a rather surprising information surfaced concerning Jeff Petry and the Habs. Indeed, shortly after his acquisition, one could see on the official website of the Montreal Canadiens that an 'A' was placed next to the name of the defenseman, suggesting that he might possibly resume his role as assistant captain next season.
However, as Maxime Truman from the DansLesCoulisses website reports, this information was modified today as the title of assistant captain is no longer attributed to the defender. Is this another sign that Jeff Petry will be traded before the start of the 2023-2024 season?

One thing is certain, this will be a very important issue to monitor in the coming days. It seems increasingly inevitable that the former number 26 of the Canadiens will be traded, and we are all eager to see the return that Kent Hughes can receive in such a transaction.
In your opinion, which player deserves to be assistant captain this season to support Nick Suzuki and Brendan Gallagher?
Personally, we believe that David Savard and Mike Matheson could be two very feasible options to fill this role.
