The Philadelphia Flyers and Carolina Hurricanes Finally Complete a Trade
There's action today in the NHL, as a trade has just occurred between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Flyers have traded the rights to David Kase to Carolina in exchange for prospect Massimo Rizzo and a 2025 5th round pick. According to Frank Seravalli, Philadelphia had been trying to get Rizzo in a trade for Tony DeAngelo, which eventually fell through.
Kase, 26 years old, is a Czech forward who collected 14 points in 25 games at home last season. He has also played more than 110 games in the AHL. (51 points)
Rizzo, 22 years old, is a Canadian forward who amassed a solid 46 points in 38 games in the NCAA last season. He is ready to make the jump to the pros, and he seems to have potential.
