The Starting Goaltender for the Montreal Canadiens has Just Been Announced
On the occasion of the Montreal Canadiens' first prospect game as part of the Rookie Tournament, we have just learned the name of the starting goaltender to face the powerful young players of the Buffalo Sabres.
It will be Jakub Dobes who will be officially designated to defend the Tricolore's net tonight.
At 22 years old, this Czech-origin goalie is one of the brightest prospects in front of the net for the organization. He was a fifth-round pick in the 2020 draft. He will also make his professional debut this year, after two very good seasons in the NCAA. Moreover, he is likely to act as the backup to Cayden Primeau with the Laval Rocket.
We are looking forward to seeing the young wolves of the Canadiens in action, with the game starting around 7 pm.
