The injury woes are significantly worsening for the Canadiens. Kirby Dach will miss the entire season, David Savard will be out for a few more weeks, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard is sidelined for nearly two months, Jordan Harris is on an indefinite hiatus, and Arber Xhekaj is still bothered by an injury.

Already, two defensemen from Laval have joined the main squad, but the situation doesn't seem to be improving much. Similar to last year, both teams are facing challenges, and today, we received updates from the Rocket, with the injury toll starting to weigh heavily there as well.

"Forward Gabriel Bourque (lower-body injury) is evaluated on a weekly basis. He is practicing with the team.

Forward Mitchell Stephens (lower-body injury) is evaluated on a daily basis. He is practicing with the team.

Forward Emil Heineman (upper-body injury) will be sidelined indefinitely. He is practicing with the team.

Forward Philippe Maillet (upper-body injury) will be sidelined for a period of 1 to 2 weeks. He did not travel with the team to Rochester and Syracuse." - Laval Rocket

Not only are they missing three important forwards, but the captain, Gabriel Bourque, is also among those affected.

Emil Heineman had returned to play, but he's back out for an indefinite period. It seems reminiscent of the situations with Rafaël Harvey-Pinard and Jordan Harris, who appear to have returned too soon.
