The beginning of the new hockey season is approaching, as we are less than a week away from the start of activities in the NHL.
The same goes for the affiliate teams of the Montreal Canadiens, who are slowly setting up their lineup for the upcoming campaign. This is the case for the Laval Rocket, but also for the Trois-Rivières Lions.
Following the release of nine players from the Rocket's training camp, who will report to its farm team, the Lions, the ECHL organization made two transactions within a few minutes to make room on its roster.
As a result, forward Cole Gallant and defenseman Shane Kuzmeski were traded in return for future considerations. The former is headed to the Utah Grizzlies, while the latter will join the Fort Wayne Komets.
While more cuts will occur in Laval in the coming days, it is very likely that more moves will be anticipated within the Canadiens' affiliates.
