Indeed, playing his first game in the Blue-White-Red uniform, the Quebecer looked very good, stopping 26 of the 27 shots directed at him, on the way to a 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins. Very calm in front of his net and extremely precise in his movements, the Quebec Remparts' goaltender made several important stops to maintain his team's lead.
The fourth round pick in 2023 was notably very satisfied with his performance following the game, as he still wanted to praise his teammates who played a much better game than the day before.
In the shadow of William Rousseau last season, the 18-year-old had an excellent year with the Remparts, compiling a record of fourteen wins and four losses, all while recording a goals against average of 2.11 and a save percentage of 0.911. There is no doubt that he will have a much more significant role this season, being perceived as the starting goaltender for the Quebec team.
Certainly, Quentin Miller managed to make a good first impression on the Tricolor leaders, and it will be extremely interesting to follow his progress over the coming months. He could undoubtedly become a great catch for the Canadiens in the years to come. With Jakub Dobes, Jacob Fowler, and the young Montreal goaltender, the goaltending prospect pool seems much more promising than at the same time last year.
