Excellent news for the young man, who is trying by all means to make his place in the NHL, he who dominates in the AHL.
Unfortunately for him, it did not go well and the honeymoon ended after two games. He was put on waivers and then given to the Laval Rocket.
It's sad, but the Canadiens have so much depth that we can understand the gesture. The explanation given to ABB is that the organization prefers to play youngsters like Emil Heineman and Oliver Kapanen, which makes sense.
The only problem in all this is that the Canadiens want to win and simplify their game, while they let go of a perfect player to fill this request and they kept young players, who have less experience.
I completely understand the action and the desire to give ice time to the youngsters, but why then complain? The Canadiens made the choice to sacrifice immediate results to give experience to the youth.
You have to take responsibility for your decisions in life, and this is a big one. Once again, I agree with the decision to play the youngsters, but you shouldn't complain later if the results don't come.
Regardless, Barré-Boulet's goal for the moment is to prove to the organization that it has no choice but to recall him and that's what he did in his first game with the Rocket, lodging 4 points.
I sincerely hope he gets recalled, if not finds his place for good in the NHL with another organization.
