Another hometown player signs with the Habs organization
Even though playing with the Trois-Rivières Lions is far from a career in the Bettman circuit, it says a lot about the product of the ECHL affiliate club that they want to put on the ice when the Canadiens announce another Quebec-flavored signing.
On social media, the Trois-Rivières Lions announced the return of Jacob Paquette, a familiar face within the organization.

We are talking about a player highly appreciated by his teammates and very solid defensively. He made his mark in this aspect of the game in 2023-2024. Ron Choules will be happy to see his protégé again.
At 25 years old, Paquette is a 6-foot-3, 201-pound defenseman who was drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2017.
He played 19 games in the Lions uniform in 2023-2024, after recording 14 points in 26 games at Queen's University.
Paquette also recorded 19 points in 59 games and 23 points in 35 games in his last two seasons with the Peterborough Petes and the Niagara IceDogs in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
