Big acquisition for the Canadiens: Finland's top scorer
The Canadiens made quite an acquisition, a real hidden gem who happens to be Finland's top scorer.
Indeed, prospect Oliver Kapanen, the 64th overall pick in 2021, is currently the leading scorer in the playoffs of the Liiga, with 13 points in 9 games, including 7 goals.
It's in these moments that the best players stand out, and Kapanen is truly making a name for himself. While Lane Hutson, Logan Mailloux, David Reinbacher, and company are on everyone's lips, we shouldn't overlook the young Finn.
With 34 points in 51 regular-season games, he's not too shabby either. Kapanen is more than ready to make the jump to North America and join the Laval Rocket next year.
I'm really looking forward to seeing him at the Canadiens' camp next September!
