It's not easy to completely step out of the media spotlight when you're the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, and Martin will soon be back in front of the cameras every day.
In short, the season will arrive soon enough, and Martin will need to make decisions about his lineup. With his utility player, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, injured for several months, things are complicated and he'll need to find a replacement.
Journalist Stu Cowan has suggested that RHP's replacement could be none other than Florian Xhekaj. We've seen how much he has progressed and he was very dominant at the development camp.
He will likely come into training camp with a chip on his shoulder and could very well earn a spot on the 4th line.
Do you believe Florian Xhekaj will be with the Canadiens from the start of the season? He is already considered a better hockey player than Michael Pezzetta, in addition to having the size for the job.
If he's ready, I don't see any problem with that, but he will need to make a strong case to Martin St-Louis and Kent Hughes.
