Finished for Joshua Roy with the Canadiens: the real reason is revealed

Joshua Roy was assigned to the Laval Rocket on Monday, against all expectations, and this decision was explained by Martin St-Louis.

According to the coach, there was a spot available for him, and with Patrik Laine's injury, it was a quality position. Unfortunately, he was unable to convince the management, and he must continue to develop in the AHL.

According to Max Lalonde, this goes much deeper than that. We often heard that Roy's level of commitment on the ice was inconsistent, but the more significant issue would be off the ice.

"Max Lalonde just told Tony Marinaro that one of Josh Roy's biggest problems is the decisions he makes off the ice."

I've also heard this several times. I don't want to make a statement, but it's clear that a realization is necessary here. There is a serious lack of maturity in his case.

When we talk about off-ice issues, it can be very broad. Let's hope it's not too serious. In my opinion, it's nothing that can't be resolved. However, it has been enough for him to lose his spot with the Canadiens.

Joshua Roy has incredible talent and exceptional hockey intelligence. He definitely belongs on a top 6 in the NHL. Now it's up to him to earn it.

I'm not worried that he won't have a lot of success in the near future!
