It's a shame that the injury list keeps growing, because a player like Juraj Slafkovsky certainly deserved to be with his teammates for this victory.
The forward was not in uniform, but his teammates still thought of him and made sure he was on the ice in the victory, during the post-game celebrations.
Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Kirby Dach and Christian Dvorak made the famous victory move that Slaf usually does, and they gave him a place.
We can clearly see that the chemistry is still there and that there is no problem on that front for the Canadiens. Obviously, successive defeats bring their share of challenges, but the players are still united.
Juraj Slafkovsky is a very important member of the Canadiens success, as he has 6 points in as many games. He plays physical and he creates space for Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki.
His importance with the CH goes much further than his points, while he is also a born and undisputed leader. He has an incredible personality and will always be there for his teammates.
Kent Hughes has recalled Lucas Condotta ahead of Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers, implying that Slafovsky will not be back.
It's a shame, but personally, I'd rather have him be sidelined for a few games and come back 100% than him not being ready yet and making his injury worse.
